Never drive back to check whether the garage is closed
We add a smart controller to the opener you already own, mount and calibrate the position sensor properly, solve the Wi-Fi dead zone that kills most garage installs, and build the automations — auto-close at night, lights on arrival, alerts when it has been open too long.
- Works with existing openers
- myQ & Tailwind
- Garage Wi-Fi solved
- Arrival automation
- $2M insured
New installation, or fixing what is already there
Roughly half of our work is repairing systems installed by someone else. Pick the track that matches your situation.
The door that closes itself when you forget
We add a smart controller to your existing opener — no new opener needed in most cases — wire the sensor correctly, and build the automations: auto-close at night, lights on arrival, alerts when the door has been open too long.
- Opener compatibility check (Security+ 2.0 and older)
- myQ or Tailwind controller wired to the opener
- Tilt / position sensor mounted and calibrated
- Auto-close, open-too-long alerts, arrival lighting
- Keypad, vehicle, and delivery access configured
Controller offline, wrong status, dead Wi-Fi in the garage
Garage controllers fail for two reasons: weak Wi-Fi in a concrete-and-metal box, or a sensor that lost calibration. We fix both, and re-terminate wiring the previous installer left twisted together.
- Garage Wi-Fi coverage testing and access point install
- Sensor recalibration for accurate open/closed status
- Controller re-pairing and firmware recovery
- Correcting spliced or unsecured low-voltage wiring
- Rebuilding automations after an app or account change
Everything inside a NovaProHome install
Engineered, permitted where required, and documented before we leave your driveway.
No new opener needed
Most openers from the last two decades accept a smart controller — we confirm compatibility before you buy anything.
Security+ 2.0 handled
Newer rolling-code openers need the right adapter. We bring it.
Sensor calibrated
Position sensors mounted and calibrated so open/closed status is always accurate.
Wi-Fi that reaches
A concrete-and-metal garage kills signal. We test and add coverage when needed.
Auto-close rules
Close at a set time, close after a set duration, or close when everyone leaves.
Arrival scenes
Garage opens, entry lights come on, alarm disarms — one arrival, one sequence.
Delivery access
One-time or scheduled access for deliveries and service visits.
Clean wiring
Low-voltage runs terminated and secured, never twisted and taped.

Smart garage FAQ
Will a smart controller work with my existing garage opener?
In most cases yes. Openers made in roughly the last twenty years — including Security+ 2.0 rolling-code models with the correct adapter — accept a myQ or Tailwind controller. We confirm your model on the discovery call before anything is purchased.
Why does my garage controller keep going offline?
Nearly always Wi-Fi. Garages are concrete, metal, and far from the router, so signal at the ceiling is weak even when the phone shows bars nearby. We measure signal at the controller and add an access point when the reading is too low to hold a connection.
Can the garage door close itself automatically?
Yes. We configure auto-close by schedule, by duration open, or by everyone leaving the geofence, plus a warning alert first. Safety sensors remain fully active, and the opener still reverses on any obstruction.
How much does smart garage installation cost?
A single-door controller install is $199 in labor, and $379 with full arrival automation and lighting integration. Two-door homes needing garage Wi-Fi coverage are $649. Devices are quoted separately at retail price.
Can delivery drivers get access without a code I have to share?
Yes. We set up one-time and scheduled access so a delivery or service visit can open the door within a window, with a notification and camera view, and no permanent code left in circulation.
Every category, engineered as one system
Most homes start with one category and add the next. We design so they connect later without rework.
