Two ways we help

New installation, or fixing what is already there

Roughly half of our work is repairing systems installed by someone else. Pick the track that matches your situation.

New installation

Multi-room sound with nothing visible but the music

We place in-ceiling and outdoor speakers by room acoustics, run speaker and HDMI cable in-wall to code, and set up Sonos or your chosen platform so every zone groups from one app.

  • Room-by-room speaker placement and zone plan
  • In-ceiling, in-wall, and outdoor speaker installation
  • In-wall rated cable runs and amplifier rack
  • TV mounting with fully concealed power and HDMI
  • Sonos / AirPlay 2 / Chromecast zone configuration

Fix an existing system

Dropouts, dead zones, one speaker that never worked

Legacy in-ceiling speakers with no amplifier, Sonos zones that drop mid-song, and receivers nobody can operate — we test the runs, restore the zones, and simplify control down to one app and one remote.

  • Speaker run continuity and impedance testing
  • Reviving legacy in-ceiling speakers with a new amp
  • Sonos dropout and network interference fixes
  • Receiver, ARC, and HDMI handshake troubleshooting
  • Consolidating remotes and apps into one control

Common questions

Audio & AV FAQ

Can you run speaker wire without tearing up my walls?

In most Northern Virginia homes, yes. We fish in-wall rated cable through existing cavities and use attic or basement paths wherever they exist. Where a path truly does not exist, we agree the minimum patchwork with you before cutting anything.

Do I need Sonos, or will something cheaper work?

Sonos is the most reliable multi-room platform for most homes and the easiest for a household to actually use. In-ceiling speakers driven by a Sonos Amp or a matrix amplifier are often better value in larger installs. We recommend based on zone count and budget.

Why does my Sonos keep dropping out?

Usually Wi-Fi channel congestion or a mesh network handing devices between nodes mid-stream. We measure interference, move the system to a stable channel, wire the primary zone where possible, and the dropouts stop.

Can you revive the in-ceiling speakers already in my house?

Very often. Many homes have speaker runs from a builder system with no working amplifier. We test each run for continuity and impedance, then add a modern streaming amplifier so the existing speakers become real zones.

How much does whole-home audio cost?

A TV and soundbar install is $299 in labor. Three zones of in-ceiling audio with amplifier and cabling is $1,499. Whole-home systems are quoted after an on-site design visit, always as a fixed written price.
